Frequently Asked Submission Questions

How long will it take to find out the status of my proposal?

Vacancies fill in the order they occur in our schedule. All applicants are notified as soon as decisions are final.
This process can take 1-3 months.

What is the commission fee deducted on sales of consigned work?

We deduct a 50% commission fee from the final sale price of the artwork.

Does the gallery offer discounts to clients/collectors?

We offer a 10% discount on retail prices at our discretion.
The commission split is calculated after this amount is deducted from the sales price.

Will the work leave the gallery on approval?

We occasionally loan artwork for collector approval. Risk of non-payment shall be
incurred by the gallery at the rate of 50% of the retail price.

When will artists receive payment after a sale has occurred?

We will issue payment to the artist within 45 days of the date of sale completion.
We occasionally negotiate a 12-month time-payment schedule with collectors.
Artist payments are issued within 45 days of each installment received.

When should the artist expect unsold work to be returned?

We will return unsold artwork within 3 months of the closing date of the exhibit.
With the artist’s permission, we may request to keep a work for a longer period.

Who pays the cost of shipping to and from the exhibition space?

The artist incurs the costs of shipping artwork to and from the exhibition space.

Does the gallery have insurance for artwork?

The gallery has no insurance coverage for losses of artwork. Artists exhibit at their
own risk. We will incur the reasonable costs for repair of artworks (costing less than or equal to 50% of the retail price) if they are damaged as a result of staff or client negligence.
